Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: Internationally

During my time in this class, I have been looking into many organizations that are working to help children in a number of different ways. One of the ways that they are helping is to get education to students of varying ages. When looking into the different types of jobs that I could take on to aid in this case, I knew I wanted to work with this organization based on all that I have read. One job that I think I would like is working at the Senior Associate, Global Cause Partnerships. Some requirements of this job are to have a  

bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 – 4 years' experience in fundraising, partnerships management, or business development. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to prioritize; work independently; handle multiple, complex tasks simultaneously; and generate pragmatic solutions to challenges. Strong customer service approach to interactions with colleagues and partners; ability to navigate complex environments and help build relationships with various stakeholders. Strong organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability and enthusiasm to further UUSA's mission. Must demonstrate UUSA's Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service (google).  

Another organization that I would like to work for would be Mercy Corp. This is another organization that is working to help children especially those working to get students around the work treated from whatever ills them. Some qualification that you will need for this job is  

Graduate degree in international relations, development, public policy, or related fields of study. 

minimum of 10 plus years of experience, with overseas experience highly desirable 

Superior communications skills—both written and oral 

demonstrated understanding of the global relief and development industry including emergency and development issues, humanitarian practice and policy, and the unique role of NGOs in influencing policy and practice (Mercy Corp). 

The last job I would like would be with Save the Children. I have heard about this organizations many times throughout life and just recently, really looked into what they do to help children. I would like to take the job as Director, Corporate Partnerships. Some of the requirements for this position would be having a  

Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least seven years of relevant experience in corporate fundraising, marketing and communications • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. 

All three of these jobs play a role in helping children in one way or another around the world and I would love to have the opportunity to lend my hand in any way to help.
